We are currently running a project on two plots of land, aimed at gaining experience in using level-controlled water infiltration to combat soil subsidence and CO2 emissions. The initial results are very promising. To enable widespread implementation of level-driven water infiltration, the funding needs to align effectively with the operations of dairy farms. In this respect, carbon certificates appear to be a promising option. We will be running a pilot to gain experience in funding level-driven water infiltration on the basis of carbon certificates, with the aim of helping to increase the economic resilience of dairy companies. Following the commencement of the pilot, we will also carry out research and trials as a means of further boosting the resilience and restoration of biodiversity.
