Goal

A clean, climate-neutral and climate-proof HEINEKEN brewery in a climate-neutral chain, a sustainable economy and a pleasant living environment. These are Green Circles HEINEKEN’s ambitions. This circle realises programmes in the fields of energy, water, raw materials, mobility and living environment, with nature as the starting point.

Themes

A sustainable society lives on renewable energy sources and organises its material flows in cycles, similar to a natural ecosystem. We therefore focus on ecosystem services that unite nature with private and public interests.

In order to create a sustainable region, we need to work in several areas simultaneously. Accordingly, we work around five themes:

 

ENERGY

The stimulation of sustainable energy and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

WATER

Ensuring the supply of sufficient, good quality water.

RAW MATERIALS

Closing raw material cycles.

MOBILITY

Improving the sustainability of mobility and logistics.‚Äč

LIVING ENVIRONMENT

Improving the living environment and strengthening biodiversity.
